History

In 1966, Jack Fitzgerald left his job as a successful door-to-door salesman to begin selling cars. After ten years in car sales at a Washington, D.C. Ford dealer, Mr. Fitzgerald purchased an interest in a Bethesda, Maryland Dodge dealership. It was then that Fitzgerald developed what has now become the dealership’s hallmark…providing customers with a different kind of auto buying experience.

Jack Fitzgerald has built his company on the principles of honesty, hard work and excellence in customer service. In the 50+ years in business, the Fitzgerald Automotive Family has established a reputation for providing complete customer satisfaction and honest business practices.

With Fitzgerald’s “No Haggle - No Hassle” posted pricing and customer friendly focus the business has grown to 15 locations and 22 franchises in Maryland, Pennsylvania and Florida. Fitzgerald Auto Malls currently employs over 1,400 associates. Fitzgerald Auto Malls’ Low “Delivered” prices, lifetime service loaner cars, and Buyer Protection Plans (designed to reduce future maintenance costs) are examples of ongoing programs designed to meet customer needs.

Early on, Fitzgerald recognized the growing importance of the Internet and developed one of the most consumer oriented automotive web sites in the industry. The Fitzgerald Auto Malls posted pricing made for a very easy transition to web-based sales. Sales transactions became considerably more efficient. The dealership’s website, www.FitzMall.com, provides consumers with complete vehicle information: equipment, options, color, MSRP, Factory Invoice, the final posted price and more.
